FIFA World Cup 2018: Few Sayings of Italy’s Captain Leonardo Bonucci


Italy’s captain Leonardo Bonucci considers that Mario Balotelli has bloomed as the fair forward player prepares to make his first debut for the Azzurri in four years.

NewItaly coach Roberto Mancini will inspect his first game in control of the four-time world champions against World Cup which constrained Saudi Arabia in a friendly on Monday night in Saint Gallen, Switzerland.

Mancini has called up 27-year-old Balotelli for three upcomingknock-ups after the forward player was excluded by Italy by injury and psychological problems in recent years. 31-year-old AC Milan defender Bonucci told a press conference ahead of Monday’s game that he found Mario that he had changed a lot comparing to his past performances.

Balotelli has scored 13 goals in 33 matches for the Azzurri but has not been selected since Italy’s embarrassing group-stage exit from the 2014 World Cup. But he may have to wait until the second match against France on June 1 to make his return.

“It’s the first game so it’s important to start well, which does not just mean winning,” said Mancini. “The most important thing is that the lads play jaunty and that they can have fun, even at the cost of making mistakes.”

Simultaneously, Bonucci said he was admiring his role of captain even if he lost the presence of experts Gianluigi Buffon and Daniele De Rossi. Italyplays a third friendly against the Netherlands, which was unsuccessful to qualify for the World Cup, in Turin on 4 June.
